In just a few years since its establishment, Loft 3 Gallery, has emerged as an increasingly visible participant in the international art market. Its latest appearance at Art Market Budapest in Hungary, taking place from 15 to 18 October 2026, marks another significant milestone in the gallery's ambitious international expansion.

Established in 2024, Loft 3 Gallery operates from Hunters Moon Estate, 3 Ridgeway North, in the leafy Harare suburb of Highlands. The gallery describes itself as a white-box exhibition space dedicated to celebrating Zimbabwean artistic expression and creating opportunities for emerging and mid-career artists across disciplines. Under Morrisby's direction, the gallery has developed an active exhibition programme that combines solo presentations, group exhibitions and opportunities for artists to engage with new audiences.

The seven artists represents the breadth of the gallery's presentation. Morrisby will also be participating in a discussion titled 'Founding a gallery in Harare - a talk with Peter Morrisby'. The conversation will examine Morrisby's personal journey, the circumstances of establishing a gallery in Zimbabwe, the country's contemporary art scene and the challenges and opportunities involved in connecting Zimbabwean artists with domestic and international audiences.
Loft 3 Gallery's international activities form part of a wider development in Zimbabwe's contemporary art sector, where galleries and independent platforms are increasingly seeking audiences beyond the country's borders.
From Highlands in Harare to Cape Town, Johannesburg and now Budapest, Loft 3 Gallery is steadily building an international footprint.
